Kameron Marlowe

Country singer Kameron Marlowe is an earnest performer with a richly textured vocal style. He is best known for competing on season 15 of NBC's The Voice, after which he released his gold-selling debut single, "Giving You Up," in 2019. After inking a deal with Sony's Columbia Nashville imprint, Marlowe issued his debut album, We Were Cowboys, in 2022. It made a strong showing on the country charts, and he followed it in 2024 with his sophomore set Keepin' the Lights On.

Born in 1997 in Kannapolis, North Carolina, Marlowe first became interested in country music listening to the radio with his grandfather. Growing up he sang in church and eventually performed as a worship leader. He formed a band in high school and played shows around town. While attending college, Marlowe's mother was diagnosed with a degenerative back injury and he quit school to help support her, taking a job selling auto parts. All the while he continued to pursue his music career, playing shows and drawing inspiration from artists like Brooks & Dunn, Travis Tritt, and George Strait. He began uploading performances online and in 2018 caught the attention of a talent scout who recruited him for NBC's The Voice. During his time on the show, he competed on both Blake Shelton and Adam Levine's teams before ultimately getting eliminated in the Live Playoffs Top 24 episode. Following his time on The Voice, he moved to Nashville and in June 2019 released his debut song "Giving You Up." Borne of his heartbreak after his girlfriend broke up with him right before he was planning on proposing, the song went viral and helped nab Marlowe management and songwriting deals. He eventually signed with Sony Music Nashville and in June 2020 he released the song "Burn 'Em All." More singles followed, including the chart hits "Girl on Fire" and "Steady Heart," all of which appeared on Marlowe's debut full-length effort, 2022's We Were Cowboys. The album peaked at 22 on the Country Albums chart and even cracked the Billboard 200 at 193. Marlowe returned in 2023 with the non-album single "I Can Lie (The Truth Is)" and "Tennessee Don't Mind," which kicked off his next album cycle. 2024's "Strangers" saw him collaborate with Alabama singer Ella Langley and appeared on his second album, Keepin' the Lights On, released in May. ~ Matt Collar
