Ty Myers is a young singer/songwriter from the Texas Hill Country who blew up in 2023 with his gritty ballad "Tie That Binds," which went viral and earned him a flood of label offers. After a few more singles that successfully blended country with bluesy rock sensibilities, he signed with Columbia and released the EP Ends of the Earth in late 2024. His debut album, The Select, followed in January 2025 and made both the country and pop charts.
Myers hails from Dripping Springs, Texas where his family has owned a cattle ranch for six generations. Both his father and uncle are musicians, the latter a founding member of '90s country heroes Lonestar. Picking up the guitar at age 12, Myers applied the work ethic learned from his family, and by his mid-teens was already a gigging musician with a healthy catalog of original songs. His debut single, "Tie That Binds," was released in early 2023 and quickly achieved viral success when a popular TikTok channel began championing it. Follow-up singles like "Drinkin' Alone" and "Tomorrow's Out of Sight" were also popular and Myers soon signed a management deal and eventually a label deal with Columbia. Throughout 2024, the 17-year-old released singles like "Malibu" and "Stay," eventually building up to the October release of his EP Ends of the Earth. The title track was a hit and, along with "Drinkin' Alone" and "Tie That Binds," was included on Myers' debut full-length, The Select, released in January 2025. The album reached number 12 on the Country Albums chart and 66 on the Billboard 200. ~ Timothy Monger
