Jon Pardi's favorite Christmas gift is fatherhood-related: 'It's an experience I haven't been through'

If you're a Christmas-lights-up-after-Halloween person and love festive food, you'd probably fit right into Jon Pardi's family.

"The tradition now is my wife always decorates the whole house after Halloween. I mean, literally, it's Christmas. There's no Thanksgiving. It's just Christmas. Christmas dinner on Thanksgiving, and then Christmas dinner on Christmas," Jon shares in a recent interview.

"We look forward to seeing all of our family, relatives, because everybody wants to see the girls. So we try to make the best of going to the West Coast or having family come out here [to Nashville] and just sharing the love of the grandbabies with the grandparents and eating good food and, you know, slowing down," the California native says.

When it comes to naming the best gift he's received, Jon's pick isn't a material one. Instead, it comes along with being a dad to Presley Fawn, 1, and 5-month-old Sienna Grace.

"I feel like the best gift now is getting presents for my two little baby girls. It's an experience I haven't been through. We did it last year and then, you know, it's all new, so it's still kind of new," Jon shares.

"It's a really cool feeling to watch them go crazy over a stuffed animal or something," he adds. "So I think that's one of the best gifts I've gotten, to be able to be a dad and give presents to my two little baby girls."

Jon's on the final leg of his ongoing Christmas tour, which wraps Dec. 21 in Mescalero, New Mexico. For tickets, visit jonpardi.com.

Jon recently performed "400 Horsepower Sleigh" on ABC's CMA Country Christmas. Missed the show? Fret not. You can stream it now on Hulu and Disney+.
