The Meridian businessman, who owns Newko Sport and Nutrition, told the state’s lottery commission that he plays regularly to lend a little help to public schools, KTVB reported.

“I’m proud to help support Idaho public schools. That’s really why I play,” he said.

According to the TV station, Moss said he plans to put his winnings aside for his daughter’s future education.

The Idaho Lottery confirmed that Moss has won one of its large prizes on five prior occasions but noted that this is his “first top prize and by far the largest.”

The ExtraMile location in Meridian where Moss purchased his winning ticket will receive a $20,000 bonus from the Idaho Lottery.
